Katy Perry ditches black hair for new shade

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Katy Perry's ever-changing hair is now purple.

The 30-her-old singer shared a photo of her new look on Instagram Monday under the caption: "OOTD school girl raincoat vibes."

Perry appears looking straight at the camera in the shot, in which her newly dyed hair and eyebrows match the singer's lipstick.

Perry's new hairstyle comes nine months after she debuted a green ombre, also on Instagram. While the singer is a natural blonde she's best known for having black hair and has also experimented with blue and pink hair in the past.

Perry most recently made headlines after receiving two nominations for the upcoming 2015 Grammy Awards, where she is up for Best Pop Vocal Album for Prism, her fourth studio album, and for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her track "Dark Horse" featuring Juicy J.
