Jason Aldean, Brittany Kerr to wed 'sooner than later'

NASHVILLE, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Jason Aldean will marry fiancée Brittany Kerr sooner than later.

The 37-year-old singer said as much to People at the 2014 CMT Artists of the Year ceremony Tuesday. Aldean has been busy on tour, but revealed he and Kerr have wedding plans in the works.

"It's kind of hard when you're touring as much as we do," he admitted. "But with the holidays coming up, we'll have some time off. I can't tell you when, but it will definitely be sooner than later."

Aldean was married to Jessica Ussery when he and Kerr were photographed kissing in 2012. Ussery filed for divorce in April 2013, and Aldean and Kerr made their red carpet debut as a couple in June. The pair got engaged in September.

"This year has been a good year for us," the country star told Us Weekly. "Now [Brittany] can come out to shows and be normal. All the craziness around us has died down, and that's been the coolest thing about this year."

Aldean released his sixth studio album, Old Boots, New Dirt, in October. The singer wrapped up the first leg of his Burn It Down tour in October, and will extend the tour for 23 dates in 2015.
