LOS ANGELES, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Evan Ross gushed about his wife Ashlee Simpson Monday at the LA premiere of his new film Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1.

The 26-year-old actor attended the event with his wife, but said he wished he could go back to her once she left the premiere.

"It's the best thing ever," Ross said when asked about married life. "I actually want to get back to her, although I'm excited to be on the carpet -- it's incredible. I wish she didn't leave but there's a lot going on here."

Simpson and Ross married in August at his mother Diana Ross' Connecticut estate.

"I've been with her now for a while so it just feels right," he said. "I'm happy to say she's my wife."

Asked whether the couple is planning on having more kids -- each of them has one son from previous relationships -- Ross said he "would love to."

"As many as possible," he added.

Ross, who plays Messalla -- an ally of Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen -- in the film was also supported by his mother and sisters Chudney Ross and Tracy Ellis Ross during Monday's premiere.
