Andy Dick arrested for allegedly stealing $1,000 necklace

LOS ANGELES , Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Troubled comedian and actor Andy Dick has been arrested in Los Angeles for allegedly grabbing a stranger's $1,000 necklace and riding off with it on his bike.

The male victim reported the theft last week shortly after it happened on Hollywood Boulevard and Dick was arrested on suspicion of grand theft when police spotted him near his apartment Friday night, TMZ reported Saturday.

Dick, 48, is being held in jail until someone posts his $25,000 bail.

Best known for his work on the sitcoms Less Than Perfect and NewsRadio, Dick also competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2013. He has spoken candidly about his battles with drug and alcohol addiction, and related brushes with the law.
