Cara Delevingne could play villain in 'Suicide Squad'

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- British model Cara Delevingne is reportedly being eyed for a role in the DC Comics superhero flick Suicide Squad.

Sources close to the film's production told Latino Review that Warner Bros. is considering the 22-year-old model for a role in the upcoming movie. According to Grazia magazine, Delevingne has expressed interest in participation in a superhero movie in the past and in being considered for the role of Harley Quinn, the sometime-girlfriend of Batman's adversary The Joker.

The model has previously showcased her acting chops in an episode of the British television series Timeless and in the upcoming film Face of an Angel.

Delevingne is slowly but surely transitioning into the acting world and is slated to appear in the 2014 films London Fields and Kids in Love as well as in Tulip Fever, Pan and Paper Towns, where she'll play the lead role, in 2015. Suicide Squad will be released in 2016.
