Lauren Conrad debuts short haircut on Instagram

"Got my first haircut in years," the television personality announced.

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Lauren Conrad has new, shorter hair.

The 28-year-old television personality cut her hair a few inches below shoulder length on Wednesday. Conrad was well known for her long, blonde tresses, which she usually wore in loose waves.

"Got my first haircut in years," she captioned a photo of her new look on Instagram.

Conrad came to fame on MTV series Laguna Beach in 2004, and subsequently starred on spinoff The Hills from 2006 to 2009. The television personality has since released several novels and fashion guide Lauren Conrad Style, and launched three clothing lines, including Paper Crown. She and former Something Corporate guitarist William Tell married in September.
