Smoke bomb interrupts NYC diners, including Rose McGowan

Actress Rose McGowan was eating in Greenwich Village when someone threw a smoke bomb toward the restaurant.

NEW YORK, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- An unidentified man threw a red smoke bomb toward the outdoor patio section of New York City's Bar Pitti on Friday, where actress Rose McGowan was enjoying dinner.

No one was seriously injured, but McGowan said the smoke burned her eyes.

"Someone just threw two red smoke bombs into the restaurant I was eating in. Eyes are burning. #NYCWHAT," the former Charmed star tweeted Friday.

The New York City Police Department has since released video of the suspect, who surfaced from a nearby subway grate. He was wearing an American flag t-shirt and a baseball cap.
