Amanda Bynes looking 'normal and stable' in NYC

NEW YORK, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Amanda Bynes was spotted out and about in New York City over the weekend days after news broke that she received a second DUI in Los Angeles.

Bynes moved back to California with her parents last year after completing a stint in rehab in December 2013 following months of exhibiting erratic behavior online and having multiple encounters with the law, but on Sept. 29 the recovering starlet was charged with a misdemeanor for driving under the influence of "a controlled substance."

The actress was seen arriving in NYC Friday and sources told E! News she "appeared normal and stable" as she went for a 30-minute bike ride around the city on Sunday.

"She looked great and was a good bike rider. Nothing abnormal," said the insider.

Bynes' visit to the Big Apple comes days after it was reported that she got kicked out of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising for bad behavior. The former Nickelodeon star had been taking fashion merchandising classes at the school since December of 2013.
