NEW YORK, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Shia LaBeouf pleaded guilty to charges of disorderly conduct Wednesday following an incident at a Broadway show in June.

LaBeouf, 28, was arrested at Studio 54 on June 26 after the actor began slapping patrons on the butt and back of the head during a performance of Cabaret. The Transformers star was reportedly drunk at the time with police citing that he was "incoherent" and "very agitated" on their report.

On Wednesday he was charged with criminal trespassing and two counts of disorderly conduct over his arrest.

The actor, who has been "voluntarily receiving treatment for alcohol addiction" since the incident, was ordered to continue treatment for three months, per WCBS 880. Additionally, if he's able to "stay out of trouble" for six months, LaBeouf will be eligible to withdraw the plea and the case will be dismissed.

The presiding judge reportedly told the actor he could be jailed for up to 15 days if he does not comply with the terms of the agreement.

"We appreciate the thoughtfulness of the resolution of the matter by the district attorney's office," said LaBeouf's attorney Robert Gage, adding he would be making any further statements on behalf of the actor.
