SYDNEY, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Ariana Grande says she didn't throw a diva fit in Australia.

The 21-year-old singer is on a whirlwind press tour in the country to promote new album My Everything. Recent reports claim Grande threw a fit and stormed out of a photo shoot, but the star told Mike E and Emma at 96.1 the rumors are "totally untrue and annoying."

"It was just a photographer or something who got mad at me because I left to change my outfit mid photo shoot because I didn't like my top," she explained. "I was like, 'Oh, I'll be right back!' and then I came back and he had left ... And then he came out and said all these ridiculous, untrue things about me. I was like, 'That's not real. That's nonsense!'"

"My fans know who I am, my family knows who I am, my friends know who I am and that's all that matters," she continued. "No matter what you do, no matter what your profession is, no matter how old you are, everybody deals with haters ... [Gossipers] are also people who don't necessarily know you or understand you. They're also judging an inaccurate depiction of you."

My Everything was released in August, and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The record is Grande's second studio album, and includes the hit singles "Problem" and "Break Free."
