Lena Dunham dyes her hair platinum blonde

NEW YORK, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Lena Dunham doesn't look like herself these days. The 28-year-old Girls star debuted a new platinum blonde look on her Instagram account Friday.

"Change is good," Dunham captioned a photo of herself sporting her new bleach blonde mane in a bowl cut.

Dunham shared another photo of herself the next day in which she swept her bangs to the side making her new hairstyle considerably less dramatic. Later on Sunday the actress showed off her new look again in a video of herself taking the famed ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

Like Justin Bieber, Dunham seems to have forgotten to include ice in her bucket for the challenge. Upon completing the task she nominated fellow Girls stars Allison Wiliams, Zacha Mamot and Andrew Rannells for "the honor."
