LOS ANGELES, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Christina Ricci and husband James Heerdegen have welcomed their first child. The 34-year-old actress recently gave birth to a baby boy, a source revealed to Us Weekly. Ricci had confirmed her pregnancy in May after she was spotted with a baby bump at LAX.

"They are thrilled and ready for a change of pace," a friend told the magazine at the time.
Ricci and Heerdegen met on the set of ABC series Pan Am in 2011, and got engaged in February 2013. The couple married at the Harold Pratt House and Peterson Hall in New York in October 2013.
"I love so many things about him," Ricci told Us Weekly shortly after she and Heerdegen got engaged. "He's my favorite person on earth ... I can't wait to have our own little world replete with small beings!"
Ricci last appeared in Lifetime movie Lizzie Borden Took an Ax in January. The actress is scheduled to star alongside Susan Sarandon and Sharon Stone in Mothers Day in May 2015.
