HOLLYWOOD, July 19 (UPI) -- She's only been engaged a few days, but already actress and singer Aly Michalka has some ideas on what kind of wedding she wants.
The Easy A and Phil of the Future actress told People she doesn't want her wedding to director Stephen Ringer to be a big, lavish affair.
"I definitely want a really relaxed, sentimental wedding," she said. "It doesn't have to be crazy, over the top. I don't want it to be insanely expensive -- I'd rather spend it on my honeymoon. We want it to be a really beautiful, outdoor wedding ... rustic with our closest friends and family."
Michalka said Ringer proposed to her while they were on a hike in Big Sur, Calif.
"We sat down and we prayed about our future, which was really sweet, and then he was like, 'Okay, I have a surprise for you.' I closed my eyes and he was like, 'Okay, open,' and he was down on his knees. It was really sweet. It was really precious," she said.
Michalka announced her engagement to Ringer on Tuesday through Twitter and Instagram.
