WASHINGTON, July 16 (UPI) -- Covered only by strategically placed pieces of lettuce, Courtney Stodden served up meatless hot dogs on Capitol Hill as part of a People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals campaign.

Stodden -- who became famous for marrying 54-year-old actor Doug Hutchison when she was just 16 -- dished out some 600 free vegetarian hot dogs with PETA supporters in recognition of National Hot Dog Month.

The hot dogs she served up -- complete with buns and an assortment of condiments -- were soy-based.

This isn't the first time Stodden has donned the precarious bikini in support of PETA. In August 2013, she wore it to again serve vegetarian frankfurters at Pink's Hot Dogs in Los Angeles.
