NEW YORK, July 7 (UPI) -- Solange Knowles, while interviewing for the August issue of Lucky magazine, broke her silence about the infamous video that caught her beating her brother-in-law Jay Z in an elevator.

While Beyonce's younger sister wouldn't expand much on "that thing" she did have one comment to make before changing the subject.

"What's important is that my family and I are all good," she said. "What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that."

Solange, 28, came under fire in mid May after TMZ shared surveillance video from an elevator that shows Solange kicking and swinging at her sister's husband.

After the clip went viral, the Knowles-Carters released a joint statement saying that both Solange and Jay Z "assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred" and that the family had "worked through it" and "moved forward as a united family."

Beyonce took to social media days after the incident to share several photos with both Jay Z and Solange.
