NEW YORK, May 6 (UPI) -- The conceit behind Jimmy Kimmel's brand-new "Celebrity Curse-Off" is that it's fun to watch Oscar-winning actresses use bad language.

That's what happened Monday night, when former Steel Magnolias co-stars Sally Field and Julia Roberts competed in an epic and hilarious swear-word challenge.

"Why am I in a curse-off with the flying nun? How does this happen?" Roberts said of Field's 1960 television character.

Field rattled off a series of swear words -- bleeped out for the cameras -- without any apparent effort, while Roberts struggled to come up with anything but sex positions.

"This is a massacre," Kimmel said.
