When it comes to movies based on the works of Harry Potter writer J.K. Rowling, just one isn't enough.

Warner Bros. announced the planned screenplay based on Rowling's Harry Potter spinoff, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, will be made into a movie trilogy.

The production company announced its intentions to make a movie based on the 54-page book in September, and Rowling was on tap to write the screenplay.

Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara said the highly anticipated story will be made into three movies.

The story is set in New York about seven decades before the start of the Harry Potter series. It's described as an extension of the wizarding world, not a prequel to the popular series that launched Rowling's career.
