Beyoncé highly disturbs Bill O'Reilly

Conservative television personality Bill O'Reilly is highly disturbed by Beyoncé's new "Partition" music video.

O'Reilly hosted Russell Simmons on The O'Reilly Factor on Monday night, who appeared on the show to discuss his new book and President Obama's "My Brother's Keeper Initiative." The conversation quickly turned to Beyoncé.

O'Reilly led into the interview by saying, "As you know, I've been very critical of harmful entertainment marketed to largely unsupervised children." He said he found Beyoncé's Superbowl performance "brilliant," but expressed his distaste for her recent "Partition" music video, saying it "glorif[ies] having sex in the back of a limousine." The host asked Simmons why Beyoncé would create the video when "she knows the devastation [of] unwanted pregnancies and fractured families" and serves as a role model "particularly to girls of color."

Simmons responded that he did not want to discuss the video, but did say he "think[s] the artist's job throughout history has been to tell the same things that people are inspired by... so when an artist expresses something that is sexual in music, it's a reflection of our reality. If we want that reality changed, then we have to do things that affect the core."

Simmons attempted to steer the conversation back to his book, Success Through Stillness: Meditation Made Easy, but O'Reilly resumed his stance on Beyoncé. He said that the singer has "an obligation to protect children, not put out exploitive garbage... I think Beyoncé, what she has done here, is inexplicable."

Simmons responded, "My daughters make choices based on the inspiration we give them as parents," and that Beyoncé is "a brilliant artist" not lauded "just by people of color." Bill O'Reilly said he still "can't understand why the woman did it" and ended the conversation by telling Simmons to tell the singer to "knock it off" because "what she did was wrong."
