Lorde is not engaged to James Lowe, says her rep

HOUSTON, March 10 (UPI) -- Kiwi singer Lorde is not walking down the aisle any time soon, according to her rep.

Reports that the 17-year-old star was engaged to her 24-year-old boyfriend James Lowe began Thursday after she was spotted with a ring on the finger while leaving the Magnolia Hotel in downtown Houston.

However, Lorde's rep told E! News, "I can confirm Lorde is not engaged."

The "Royals" singer confirmed he relationship to Lowe while interviewing for the January issue of Rolling Stone.
