PHILIPSBURG, Mont., Sept. 1 (UPI) -- Kate Bosworth married director Michael Polish during an outdoor ceremony at The Ranch at Rock Creek in Philipsburg, Mont., their representatives confirmed.
Bosworth, the "Superman Returns Star," fell in love with Polish, 42, when he directed her in Big Sur in 2011, PEOPLE reported.

"I never even dated my husband-to-be," Bosworth said. "He said to me after just a few weeks before we were even together, 'I'm going to marry you.' He just knew."
Bosworth, 30, confirmed her engagement in September of last year.
PEOPLE said the ceremony was unique and that whiskey was involved.
Polish was previously married to makeup artist Jo Strettell and has a teenage daughter, Jasper.
