The 25-year-old starlet's career has been sidelined in recent years by her legal woes and addictions to drugs and alcohol.

However, she has completed rehab, psychological counseling and 480 hours of community service at the county morgue as per the requirements of her felony probation, and can once again focus on her career.

The "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" actress will remain on informal probation for two more years for her 2011 misdemeanor shoplifting conviction.

"The only terms on that case are to obey all laws," CNN quoted Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner as saying Thursday. "It's not that hard. ... I know it's hard when people are following you all over the place, but that's the life you chose."

Sautner also told Lohan to "live your life in a more mature way, stop the nightclubbing and focus on your work."

"I just want to say thank you for being fair," CNN reported Lohan said. "It's really opened a lot of doors for me, so I really appreciate it."

ELTON JOHN: British pop star Elton John says he could have "ended up like Whitney Houston" if he hadn't kicked his drug habit in 1990.

Houston drowned Feb. 11 in a hotel bathtub after using cocaine. She was 48.

"I could have so easily ended up like Whitney Houston," John told E! News Thursday.

"It's a miracle I didn't," the 65-year-old singer said. "Because I'm sure I did as much cocaine as she ever did."

John chalked his recovery up to the willpower to take back his life.

"I would not be the person I am today [if I hadn't]," he said. "I wouldn't have [my son] Zachary, [my husband] David [Furnish]. I wouldn't have anything. I'd probably be dead."

'AMERICAN IDOL: Heejun Han was booted from "American Idol" in Los Angeles Thursday.

Han, a 22-year-old native of South Korea, got the bad news regarding his elimination after singing "A Song For You," a Leon Russell composition that was recorded by Donny Hathaway in 1971.

Judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and L.A. Reid deliberated, and then Tyler told Han: "Heejun, let the record show that you knew this was coming yourself. You saw it come last week. ... Unfortunately, after talking, we're going to have to let you go."

There are eight contestants left on the singing competition show.

The Top 10, including Han, will go on a concert tour this summer.

PRESIDENT OBAMA: A comical video of U.S. President Barack Obama appearing to sing LMFAO's song "Sexy and I Know It" has gotten nearly 1.4 million hits on YouTube.

The clip picks out words from numerous speeches and public appearances to make Obama seem like he is singing the hit, which includes the memorable lyrics: "Look at that body. I work out!"

The Obama video was posted Tuesday and follows a similar satirical clip called "Will the Real Mitt Romney Please Stand Up," which sets soundbites from the aspiring Republican presidential candidate's campaign to Eminem's song "The Real Slim Shady."

The Romney video has been seen by nearly 2.8 million people since it was posted March 19.
