SUZE ROTOLO: Suze Rotolo, famous for appearing on the cover of "The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan" album, has died of cancer at her New York home, her son. Luca, said. She was 67.

The Los Angeles Times said Tuesday the artist and author, a New York native, was a huge influence on the singer-songwriter when she dated Dylan for four years in the 1960s, introducing him to modern art and poetry, avant-garde theater and civil-rights politics.

"Right from the start, I couldn't take my eyes off her," the Times quoted Dylan as writing in "Chronicles: Volume One," his 2004 memoir. "She was the most erotic thing I'd ever seen."

The relationship ended shortly after Dylan's career took off, however. Rotolo continued to work as an artist and penned the book, "A Freewheelin' Time: A Memoir of Greenwich Village in the Sixties."

She married film editor Enzo Bartoccioli in 1967, and is survived by him and their son, Luca, as well as her sister, Carla Rotolo, the Times said.

KATIE HOLMES: Katie Holmes's lawyer says he has filed a $50 million libel lawsuit against the U.S. tabloid Star for allegedly implying the actress abuses drugs.

The publication's cover bears the headline "Addiction Nightmare -- Katie Drug Shocker -- The Real Reason She Can't Leave Tom." However, E! News reported Tuesday the article inside doesn't explicitly mention actual drug use and instead discusses a Scientology practice Holmes allegedly uses that supposedly gives a drug-like effect.

"Star magazine's malicious claims about Katie are untrue, unethical and unlawful," Bert Fields, a lawyer for Holmes and her husband, actor Tom Cruise, told E! News.

"Not only do they cruelly defame Katie, they play a cheap trick on the public, making ridiculously false claims on the cover unsupported by anything inside. Someone should bring a class action (suit) to get all buyers their money back."

The tabloid's publishers said they have not yet been served with papers regarding the lawsuit and are standing by the story.

"Star fully stands behind the editorial integrity of what we have published concerning Ms. Holmes's controversial use of the Scientology 'e-meter.' The physical effect of the e-meter on its users is a matter of significant public concern and we plan to vigorously defend the suit filed by Ms. Holmes," a representative for Star told E! News.

"Our attorneys look forward to deposing Ms. Holmes about her experiences with Scientology and the e-meter, and expect that the case will be promptly dismissed by the court."

LINDSAY LOHAN: U.S. actress Lindsay Lohan says she feels great and is working on staying sober and resuming her career.

The 24-year-old "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" star, who has battled addictions to drugs and alcohol in recent years, made the comments to TV's "Extra" in an interview that ran Tuesday and will conclude Wednesday.

Asked how she is doing, Lohan replied, "I feel great!"

"There's always bumps we have in the road. I'm focusing on the one thing I need to put first in my life which is my recovery and stuff. I'm doing good, and that's most important for me," USA Today quoted her as telling "Extra."

Lohan went on to say she is eager to get back to work. Her last major film role was in "I Know Who Killed Me," which was released in 2007. She had a small part in 2010's "Machete."

"I need to prove that I can be insurable again, because I don't think I am right now," she told "Extra."

"I have to build my way back up and I get that."

The actress was recently charged with stealing a $2,500 necklace from a California boutique. She has denied any wrongdoing, however.

MELISSA GILBERT: U.S. actress Melissa Gilbert announced Tuesday she and actor Bruce Boxleitner have separated after 16 years of marriage.

"We have loved each other for a very long time and we share four incredible sons together," Gilbert said in a statement issued to People.com Tuesday. "On behalf of our family we ask to be allowed our privacy during this very difficult time."

The couple married in 1995 and are the parents of a 15-year-old son.

Gilbert, who is best known for her portrayal of Laura Ingalls Wilder on TV's "Little House on the Prairie," also has a 21-year-old son from her previous marriage to Bo Brinkman.

Boxleitner, famous for his shows "How the West Was Won," "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" and "Babylon 5," has two sons -- ages 30 and 25 -- from his marriage to actress Kathryn Holcomb.
