LOS ANGELES, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- A source close to U.S. actor Ryan O'Neal said there is no truth to the rumor his son, Redmond, is set to star in a reality television series.

Redmond, who is also the son of the late actress Farrah Fawcett, is currently serving time in a detention center for a probation violation stemming from a drug conviction. He is also undergoing treatment for his addiction to drugs.
