LOS ANGELES, June 26 (UPI) -- Michael Jackson's three young children are being cared for by a nanny at their grandmother's home, said the Jackson family's longtime attorney.

Paris, 11, and Prince Michael, 12, were born during Jackson's brief marriage to Debbie Rowe.

Seven-year-old Prince Michael II's mother and the manner by which he was conceived have never been publicly identified.

In fact, little was previously known about the children whose faces Jackson insisted be kept covered when outside.

Lawyer Brian Oxmon told Usmagazine.com the children "are doing fine" following their father's unexpected death Thursday at the age of 50.

"They are in the care of a nanny," Oxman said, adding they are staying with Jackson's mother, Katherine, for now. "Ms. Jackson will care for them and I'm sure there will be all kinds of discussions that will take place about the kids."

The attorney went on to describe the children as "just beautiful."

"They're well-trained, well-educated and extraordinarily talented," he said. "They get to play with their cousins and their nieces and their nephews. They are just smarter than smart can be."

Michael Jackson's former attorney Iris Finsilver told People.com Rowe, who was believed to have given up her rights to her two children with Jackson, is still their legal parent and can gain custody of them if she desires.

Finsilver added, however, that Rowe is "inconsolable" and hasn't indicated what her plans are regarding her son and daughter.

"The kids are very upset, but they are fine," the late pop star's manager, Frank DiLeo, told People.com.
