LOS ANGELES, March 31 (UPI) -- IFC has announced plans to air a six-part documentary series reuniting the surviving members of the Monty Python comedy troupe.
USA Today said director Alan Parker's "Monty Python: Almost the Truth (The Lawyer's Cut)" is set to premiere on the channel in October to mark the group's 40th anniversary. The series reportedly will feature appearances by founding Python members John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin, as well as interviews with celebrities such as Steve Martin, Jimmy Fallon, Hugh Grant, Rowan Atkinson, Eddie Izzard, Tim Roth, Seth Green and Joan Rivers, who discuss how the troupe's madcap style influenced contemporary comedy.
