SANTA ROSA, Calif., Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Walter Becker and Donald Fagen are to play the last two dates of their Steely Dan summer tour this month in Santa Rosa, Calif., the venue they're playing said.

Becker and Fagen are to perform at Sonoma Wine Country Aug. 26 and 27 at the 1,600-seat Ruth Finley Person Theater at the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts.

"When we first decided to make an offer to Steely Dan, it was a long shot because our theater is much smaller than the 4,000 plus seat venues the band normally plays," Rick Bartalini, who oversees talent booking for the Arts Center's entertainment programs, said in a statement. "But, when we learned the band was heading west again for a private show in Las Vegas (after having played the Bay Area in July), we decided to put together our best offer possible for two nights. We didn't realize then that they would be extending their tour to come here ... or that we would get to host the finale, which is a big honor! It's the chance of a lifetime for fans to see the band in such an intimate setting, and the fact that it's the tour finale makes it even more incredible."
