Black, Harris plan trip to 'Sesame Street'

NEW YORK, July 29 (UPI) -- Jack Black, Neil Patrick Harris and L.L. Cool J are among the celebrities to make appearances on the new season of the U.S. children's show, "Sesame Street."

Hollywood actor Black and Canadian singer Feist are to kick off the 39th season of the beloved preschool program Aug. 11 on PBS Kids, representatives for the show said Tuesday.

Harris is scheduled to appear in the episode airing the next day, followed by an episode featuring supermodel Heidi Klum Aug. 14, actress and author Jenny McCarthy Aug. 15, actor Will Arnett Aug. 18, NFL star Jason Taylor Aug. 20, soccer idol David Beckham Aug. 22, recording artist L.L. Cool J Sept. 22 and TV actress Chandra Wilson Sept. 30.

Original episodes featuring celebrities like Jessica Alba, Molly Shannon, Patrick Warburton, Feijoo Sisters, Mike Rowe, Jonah Hill, Brian Williams, Gilbert Godfrey, Megan Mullally, Randy Jackson and Sandra Oh are scheduled to air this season, as well, however, the dates when they will appear have not yet been announced.

"Sesame Street" also will continue referencing pop culture with all-new spoofs like "30 Rocks," "Pre-School Musical" and "Are You Smarter Than an Egg Layer?" representatives for the show said.
