LOS ANGELES, July 28 (UPI) -- U.S. singer and television star Miley Cyrus says the upcoming season of her popular tween series "Hannah Montana" might be its last.
The Disney Channel announced in April that the show about an ordinary girl living a double life as a pop star had been renewed for a third season.
"We're thinking this is our last season," Cyrus, 15, told E! Online Monday. "I just think we did a lot of episodes. We basically did two seasons in one last year. Usually people would do one season that would be, like, 16 episodes, and we did almost 30 episodes! It seems like it's been on, like, longer."
While Cyrus might be thinking about giving up the show, she insisted she isn't trying to distance herself from Disney.
"I'm still with my family," she told E! Online of the company that gave her her first big break. "You know, they're safe. They always feel like home. And that's what I love about the company. They are family."
"We do not know if this is the last season," Cyrus' publicist told E! Online in response to the teen's remarks.
