Report: Levert's body hasn't been claimed

CLEVELAND, April 2 (UPI) -- The body of singer Sean Levert, who died in Ohio Sunday, has not yet been claimed because his widow is still planning the funeral service, TMZ.com said.

The Cuyahoga County coroner told the entertainment news Web site Wednesday Levert's corpse remains a "guest" of the office while Levert's widow decides whether to hold a private or public service.

TMZ.com reported Tuesday the 39-year-old singer was physically restrained by guards at the Cuyahoga County Jail shortly before his death.

Jail personnel said Levert was "out of control" and "hallucinating" shortly before he went to the hospital Sunday, so they placed him in a restraining chair to prevent him from harming himself.

The coroner's office told TMZ.com Levert's body displayed no evidence of physical trauma and foul play was not suspected.

A cause of death will not be determined until toxicology results come back in about four to six weeks.

The former member of the R&B trio LeVert was serving a jail sentence for failing to pay child support. He was transported to a hospital when he fell ill.
