Rhys Meyers to star in thriller 'Shelter'

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Irish actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers, best known for playing Henry VIII in the TV series "The Tudors," is set to co-star with Julianne Moore in the film "Shelter."

The supernatural thriller is based on a script by "Identity" scribe Michael Cooney and is to be directed by Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein, the Swedish team that made "Storm," Variety.com said.

"Shelter," the plot of which is being kept closely guarded, is to begin shooting next month in Pittsburgh, the trade paper said.

Rhys Meyers has also starred in the films "Velvet Goldmine," "Match Point," "Mission: Impossible 3" and "August Rush."
