Fishel, ex-child star, arrested

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Former U.S. child TV star Danielle Fishel was arrested for alleged drunken driving, it was reported Sunday.

Fishel, 26, who appeared in ABC's "Boy Meets World," was arrested early Thursday on a drunken driving warrant from Los Angeles County, The Daily Pilot in Costa Mesa, Calif., reported.

Sgt. Randy Querry of the Newport Beach Police Department said Fishel was not drunk when officers pulled her over, the newspaper said. She was booked in the city jail and released on bail a short time later.

"It was a pretty simple arrest," he said.

Fishel also works as a spokeswoman for the NutriSystem diet program.
