NEW YORK, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Jenna Fischer said she enjoyed adopting a sexy new look for the movie "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story."
Best-known for playing wholesome Pam on "The Office," Fischer plays the second wife of a music icon in the big-screen comedy, "Walk Hard."
"When they sent me the script, I assumed that they wanted me to read for Edith. ... She's sort of the put-upon, wallflower first wife," Fischer told reporters in New York recently.
"But they already had Kristen Wiig, so when I went in to the audition, they asked me to read for Darlene and, I don't know, I just didn't see myself that way. I had to get over a lot of my own personal shyness in order to do that, but it was good," said Fischer who said she is typically the last person to take her cover-up off at the beach.
"Sometimes acting is really cool because it forces you to exercise certain muscles in your personality that you wouldn't normally be called upon in life. So, this was my chance to be in the spotlight and revel in the spotlight and be very flashy with my costumes and my hair and makeup."
