LOS ANGELES, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Oliver Stone's new film "Pinkville" has been put on hold because of the Writers Guild of America strike, it was reported Monday.
Stone was slated to begin shooting his movie about the investigation into the1968 My Lai massacre next month in Southeast Asia. But the movie was postponed because neither Stone nor screenwriter Mikko Alanne -- both WGA members -- would be able to tinker with the script during production while the strike is on, Variety.com said.
Bruce Willis, Channing Tatum, Woody Harrelson, Xzibit, Michael Pitt and Toby Jones were set to star, but it is now unclear whether Willis' schedule will allow him to stick with the project since he also plans to start filming "The Surrogates" in February.
Production on "Angels & Demons," Ron Howard's sequel to "The Da Vinci Code," was also delayed because of the strike.
