Pollution didn't deter caped crusader

HONG KONG, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- A scene with Batman jumping into Hong Kong's Victoria Harbor was cut from an upcoming movie, but not because the water is so polluted.

Rather, Director Christopher Nolan said at a Friday news conference he deleted the scene before starting filming of "The Dark Knight" in Hong Kong due to script changes alone, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Nolan chose Hong Kong for the caped-crusader sequel because it's an "energetic, cosmopolitan" city, the trade newspaper said. Christian Bale returns to the Batman role with Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox.
