Hit-and-run charge against Bach dropped

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- The misdemeanor hit-and-run charge against Pamela Bach, the ex-wife of Hollywood actor David Hasselhoff, has reportedly been dropped.

Bach turned herself in to police at the Van Nuys (Calif.) Jail Monday afternoon to answer charges that she allegedly slammed her white Mercedes into a parked car in January, then drove away.

Bach's attorney, Mark Geragos, said the charge was dismissed because the car's owner did not want to proceed with the case, TMZ reported Tuesday.

Geragos told City News Service, "I think the (other motorist) was paid through insurance," adding that the cost of the damage was somewhere between $700 and $1,300.

TMZ said it has contacted the alleged victim to get her side of the story, however, she has not returned calls.
