Stars line up for MTC's 'Mauritius'

NEW YORK, July 15 (UPI) -- F. Murray Abraham, Dylan Baker, Bobby Cannavale and Alison Pill have all signed on to star in the New York production of Theresa Rebeck's play "Mauritius."

The comedy is about two half-sisters who inherit a rare stamp collection when their mother dies, only to battle over who actually owns it and what they should do with it.

The Manhattan Theatre Club's first production of the 2007-2008 season is slated to start previews at the Biltmore Theatre Sept. 13 with an official opening night planned for Oct. 4.

This is a co-production with Huntington Theatre Company, the professional theater troupe in residence at Boston University, which this spring earned the Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding Production for the world premiere production of the play.

The MTC production of "Mauritius" marks Rebeck's Broadway debut.
