Rapper lets dual personas duel on album

DETROIT, July 3 (UPI) -- Atlanta rapper Clifford Harris, better known as T.I., is letting his "two very powerful personalities" do battle on his latest album.

On "T.I. vs. T.I.P.," the rapper showcases both the "professional character" of T.I. and T.I.P., a more rough-hewn persona whom he said is "a person, closer to who I am when I'm off stage.

"The two conflict from time to time," T.I. said. "As much as I would like to think that I've got it under control, the situations and scenarios I get myself into pretty much dictate the personality that I will be assuming."

One of those occurred last month, when T.I. punched the manager of fellow rapper Ludacris at an industry luncheon, part of an ongoing beef between the two performers. No charges were filed.

"T.I. vs. T.I.P." features guests such as Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, Andre 3000, Ciara, Timbaland, Wyclef Jean and Mannie Fresh.
