CLEVELAND, March 12 (UPI) -- Singer Eric Carmen, formerly of the Raspberries, has been charged with driving while intoxicated in Gates Mills, Ohio, where he lives, police said.
A witness said Carmen was driving his sport utility vehicle erratically, allegedly hitting a mailbox and a sign, WEWS-TV in Cleveland said. Police said no one was injured.

Carmen was with the Raspberries, which had the hit "Go All the Way," before launching a solo career in 1975. His solo hits included "All By Myself" and "Hungry Eyes."
