NEW YORK, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Satellite radio shock jock Howard Stern has announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Beth Ostrosky.
Stern, 53, said a wedding date hasn't been set, and that he plans a long engagement, E! News reported Thursday.
Stern relayed his R-rated proposal -- during which he asked the 34-year-old Ostrosky to disrobe -- during his Sirius satellite radio show on Valentine's Day. When she agreed to marry him, he gave her a 5.2-carat diamond ring.
It will be the second marriage for Stern and the first for model-actress Ostrosky, a Pittsburgh native whose acting credits include roles in "Flirting with Disaster" with Ben Stiller and "Whipped" with Amanda Peet.
Stern and Ostrosky met in 2001, a year after Stern separated from his wife of 20 years, Alison.
