LOS ANGELES, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Mike Richards, the host of the U.S. reality series "Beauty and the Geek," has offered his take on what fuels the attraction between the two social groups.
To help promote the series' third season, that began last Wednesday, the former Dick Clark Productions exec offered his top seven reasons why beautiful women like traditional geeks, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Key among Richards reasons are the computer skills typically associated with intelligent yet socially challenged men.
Richards claimed that a geek's ability to work a beautiful woman's computer counts as a significant attraction, not to mention the billions of dollars geeks like Microsoft co-founder and alleged geek Bill Gates has earned doing just that.
Other notable items on Richards' list include consistent Trivial Pursuit wins and an increased probability of an attractive yet intelligent child based on the couple's mixed genes.
New episodes of the third season of "Beauty and the Geek" are set to air Wednesdays on the CW.
