London 'Casino Royale' premier truly royal

LONDON, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were in the audience as the new very-British James Bond flick made its royal premier in London.

Thousands of fans turned out on a rainy autumn night Tuesday to watch as the queen and Duke of Edinburgh joined stars Daniel Craig, Dame Judi Dench and "Bond girl" Eva Green for the screening of "Casino Royale," the BBC reported.

Craig called it a "once in a lifetime" event.

Also strolling the red carpet were the likes of Elton John and Paris Hilton.

Proceeds from the event went to Britain's Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund of which the queen is Patron.

"Casino Royale" has been getting solid reviews despite the absence of familiar Bond characters Miss Moneypenny and Q.
