LOS ANGELES, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Rapper and Britney Spears' soon-to-be ex-spouse Kevin Federline and Thomas Dolby have reached a settlement in their copyright infringement case.
Federline made a payment of an unknown amount to Dolby to compensate him for the use of a sample from "She Blinded Me With Science" in the song "America's Most Wanted," reported a news release.
The song appeared on Federline's MySpace page this past spring and was downloaded more than 500,000 times.
"I'm going to buy a new sailboat, find a quiet anchorage somewhere, make myself a cup of tea and write some brand new songs," Dolby said about the payment he received.
The British musician recently returned to the music business after 15 successful years as a technology entrepreneur in Silicon Valley.
Spears filed for divorce from her rapping spouse this week after two years of marriage.
