Strip-tease scene leaves Swank in stitches

NEW YORK, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Two-time Oscar Award-winner Hilary Swank proved what a good sport she was after being injured on the New York set of her new film, "P.S. I Love You."

People magazine reported Swank needed stitches in her forehead after she became snagged on co-star Gerard Butler's suspenders while he performed a strip-tease dance.

The trouper should be back on the set Monday following the mending, People said.

Swank plays a young widow in the movie who discovers that her late husband left her 10 messages intended to help ease the pain of her loss. Other cast members include Lisa Kudrow, Kathy Bates and Gina Gershon.

The film also has location shooting in Ireland scheduled before release set for 2008.
