LONDON, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- At the Digital Music Awards ceremony in London, singer Lily Allen took top pop honors and the band Muse was named the best in rock.
The BBC reported Allen was awarded the Digital Music Awards' best pop artist prize at Tuesday's awards ceremony, while Muse took home the event's best rock artist award in addition to being recognized for its musical Web site.
Meanwhile, Radiohead front man Thom Yorke won awards for the best artist campaign and best use of mobile, both related to his recent album "The Eraser."
Also at the ceremony, whose results were largely determined by public voting, singer Peter Gabriel won the event's Pioneer Award for his efforts to improve digital sales in the past few years.
In the Digital Music Awards' newest category, best unsigned artist, the three-piece group The Wonderfuls ended up claiming the prize while Lemar topped the event's best urban artist category.
The ceremony, which also featured The White Stripes and The Streets winning awards, is set to be broadcast on Channel 4 on Oct. 21, the BBC said.
