Johnson tops Screen Actors Guild nods

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- The Screen Actors Guild has elected 24 new members to its national board, including Hollywood actors Justine Bateman, Elliott Gould and Joanna Cassidy.

The winners included SAG First National Vice President Anne-Marie Johnson, a close ally of SAG President Alan Rosenberg, Broadcasting & Cable reported.

The new board members will fill one-third of the guild's national board seats.

The guild's Hollywood division elected 13 national board members and 22 alternates, while the New York division elected four national board members and nine alternates. Seven other board members were elected from other SAG regional branches.

Other newly elected board members include Robert Hays, Diane Ladd, William Katt and Renee Taylor.
