"Jay Johnson: The Two and Only!" marks Johnson's Broadway debut, following a 2004 Off-Broadway run and engagements in Boston and Los Angeles.

Johnson, who has been a ventriloquist for 30 years, is most well known for playing Chuck (and Bob) on TV's "Soap." During intermissions of "The Two and Only!" Johnson will explore the history of the fading art of ventriloquism, Playbill said.

The new comedy opens Sept. 28, and offers close-up encounters with Johnson and "Bob," his co-star from "Soap," Playbill reports.
