APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz., Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Nearly 20 years after "Raising Arizona" was released, the U.S. film goes back to its roots with a showing in Arizona's Superstition Mountains.
The Superstitions towered in the background in the 1987 film as H.I. "Hi" McDunnough, played by Nicolas Cage, and Edwina "Ed" McDunnough, played by Holly Hunter, tried to balance raising a stolen infant while fending off ne'er-do-well friends, a rogue biker and the baby's parents, the Arizona Republic said.
The Netflix Rolling Roadshow, hosted by singer/songwriter Lisa Loeb, is scheduled to come to Lost Dutchman State Park in Apache Junction Sunday to give fans of the comedy, and those who have yet to see it, a chance to view it at one of the locations where it was filmed.
Apache Junction is one of 10 locations the Roadshow is visiting during August, the newspaper said.
The film series started Aug. 2 at Coney Island, N.Y., with a screening of the gang movie classic "The Warriors," and winds up Aug. 26 at Alcatraz Island in San Francisco to show the Clint Eastwood film "Escape From Alcatraz."
