'Rescue Dawn' headlines new festival films

TORONTO, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- The Vietnam War film "Rescue Dawn," starring Christian Bale, is one of 20 films added to the Toronto International Film Festival's schedule for next month.

The film, based on a true story of an American prisoner of war, will be one of many films to make its world premiere when the festival begins Sept. 7.

In addition to the Werner Herzog-directed film, Margarethe von Trotta's "I Am the Other Woman" will make its international premiere in the festival's Masters Program, Daily Variety reported.

The festival, scheduled to run Sept. 7-16, will also screen premieres on its Special Presentations slate including Ari Sandel's " Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show," "The Dog Problem" from director Scott Caan and Tarsem Singh's "The Fall," which was filmed in over 23 countries.
