James Cameron's 'The Exodus Decoded'

NEW YORK, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Director James Cameron and investigative journalist Simcha Jacobovici have teamed up to produce a documentary called "The Exodus Decoded."

The 90-minute film reportedly studies what Cameron and Jacobovici have said is previously overlooked archeological evidence that the Exodus of the Jews out of Egypt actually happened, said the New York Daily News Thursday.

It shows "Whether it's a completely mythic story that's specific to the Judeo-Christian religion or whether it's something that really happened, knowing there was a physical event that underlies that is fascinating," Cameron told the Daily News.

"It's individual pieces of evidence that start to form a compelling pattern," said Cameron, executive producer of the documentary scheduled to premiere Aug. 20 in the United States on the History Channel.
