Jackson divorce documents to go public

LOS ANGELES, May 25 (UPI) -- A Los Angeles judge has ordered pop star Michael Jackson and his former wife Debbie Rowe to file publicly all documents from their 1999 divorce.

The couple -- embroiled in a battle for custody of their two children -- had paid a judge to handle their divorce privately, to keep details out of the news, The Los Angles Times reported.

Among the documents being sought by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Robert Schnider is Rowe's allegation that Jackson abducted their children when he took them to Bahrain without her permission, following his acquittal on child molestation charges last year.

Schnider Wednesday gave attorneys for both sides 60 days to find or recreate all documents given to the private judge, the Times said.

Also Wednesday, the California Supreme Court refused to hear Jackson's appeal of a lower court's restoration of Rowe's parental rights to Prince Michael, 9, and Paris, 7, TMZ.com reported.
